Our tools install through the Vectorworks Plug-in Manager and add themselves to the AST Tools set. You never touch your workspace.
Unzip your download and open the OPEN ME folder. Everything you need is inside, the plug-in zip, your read me, and the manual.
Choose (on Mac, Shift Cmd Z).
Open the Third-party Plug-ins tab, click Install at the bottom left, and pick the AST plug-in zip from the OPEN ME folder.
Click Restart when Vectorworks asks. When it comes back, your tools are in the AST Tools set in your Tool Sets palette.
Every tool draws right away. A license key unlocks the Object Info fields, keyed to your Vectorworks seat.

Enter your Seat ID at checkout on Gumroad. Your key arrives by email from license@astdesigns.com, generated to match your seat.
Select the object and paste the key into the License Key field on the Object Info palette. The key is the one from the email, not your Vectorworks serial number. Done.
No. Your key stays valid through reinstalls and updates. A bug fix or a new version never requires a new key.
They see your objects as normal, locked geometry, like a symbol. Your drawing travels intact and collaborators never have to install or license anything.
Yes. Installed without a key, the tool still places and draws the geometry. A license only unlocks the editable Object Info fields.
